Ordinary life extraordinary Love

November 03, 2010 - eight months later
I cannot say that I know Nicole very well. I stayed at her house for 10 days when I was in Nepal. She works during the day and I was in study of the Tibetan sound healing. Through a few conversations I got to know that Nicole is a woman with extraordinary passion and love for life. A Belgian who has been living in Nepal for 24 years where she is an international school teacher, Nicole loves the life in Kathmandu and is very active in the community. Giles teaches cabinet making in Montreal. In 2007 as a first step to find new direction in his life, Giles went to Nepal to volunteer at a non-for-profit organization where he met Nicole and they fell in love. It was a new beginning for both of them. However, in 2009 Giles was diagnosed with leukemia and doctors recommended bone marrow transplant following aggressive chemotherapy. That is when the journey of true love, passion and a courage for a new life truly started.  Giles could not have asked for a better person at his side when he is fighting for a new life - Nicole is a woman full of strength, love and compassion.  Giles has determination to heal and now has more reason to fight - because at the end of the battle, there is love and light, a new life full of hope.

If there is a story to be told, then the story is one of an ordinary life and extraordinary love.

Below is Nicole's letter to inform friends where they are on their journey for a new life.
