Thank You Note

Dear Friends, Namaste!
I retuned home safe and sound. Thank you! I am writing to say THANK YOU, all of you for being there, on my long journey from Montreal to Beijing, Chengdu to Nepal and return. I am in deepest gratitude for your generosity, kindest help and consideration, without which, my trip was not possible.

Special thanks to angels Nicole and Giles who first planted the seed in my mind and whose courage, love and compassion inspired me; to JiaJin and Yansheng who generously arranged my stay and plane ticket; to Elise and Frank who graciously welcomed me to their lovely home; to Qiang who made my transit a worry-free and unforgettable enriching experience; to Li Hong who secretly refilled my mobile phone; to Hao ZhiHong, who kindly transported my luggage; to my teacher Shree who passed on his knowledge without reservation; to lovely Amandine, Americ and Tsering, who introduced me to a new world and kept me company... Last but not least, to JY, whose spirit of unconditional loving and support is always with me. I remain always in debt to all of you. No matter where I am, you are always in my memories and prayers.

There are new things I learned during my trip that have great impact on me. One of them is the Nepali people. Their spirit and thirst for life, their integrity and honesty, their songs and their smiles, their most beautiful children, all deeply touched my heart. I pray that no earthquake will ever hurt them, peace and stability becomes a reality in their region, electricity and clean water be plenty, and all the children have the opportunities to go to school.

For the first time I met a Tibetan, a Tibetan monk whose name is Tsering. In a most abbreviated three minute version, he told me his story that perhaps is the story for many Tibetans, his parents left Tibet which was once home in 1959. Many Tibetans now live in India and Nepal without passports, many children become monks. I really feel for him. The government could tear down the temples and burn the libraries, but they could never tear the spirit of the Tibetan people and their beautiful ancient culture. When I first heard the Tibetan chants, I felt that my spirit was lifted into a place of peace, joy and light. It is the most beautiful sound beyond this world, one could move you to tears, soften your heart and cleanse your soul.

Today I feel I am also a Nepali, a Tibetan, and many many more... I feel we are all sisters and brothers, on One planet, under One sky. The more I live, the more I feel that We are truly ONE... It is the names and labels in human mind and separation in human heart that created poverty and violence, underdevelopment and despair, fear and greed, tension and stress. It is our genuine spirit of love and compassion that will solve these problems that ignorant humans generated on earth. I wish to dedicate the rest of my life to further the progress of human spirit, doing little things I can every day.

Everyday starts a new journey. On my new journey, I ask for your continuous prayers and good wishes, that I will always be inspired and guided, protected and loved - by a divine light and love.

I share with you this light and love,
Grace
